April, 2010:

NEW EAP CASE MANAGER

Charmaine Fanara, LCSW, will now be serving as our EAP Case Manager. Charmaine has been clinical coordinator for Genesee Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, and has previously served as EAP Case Manager for Child and Family Services of Buffalo, and Health Management Systems of America. She has also served as EAP coordinator with DuPont Corporation in Buffalo.

December, 2009:

NEW EAP CONTRACT - GENESEE COUNTY

We are pleased to announce that ERA has been selected by the legislature of Genesee County to provide EAP counseling and training services for the 750 county employees, beginning January 1, 2010. Most of this service will be provided from our Batavia office, although, for confidentiality reasons, we expect that some county employees might choose to visit one of our counselors in Orleans, Erie, Wyoming, Livingston, or Monroe County.

July, 2009:

HARASSMENT TRAINING

Educational Resource Associates has once again been invited by the Rockville Centre School District, in Nassau County on Long Island to provide workshops on harassment training to faculty and staff. This is the sixth year ERA has provided this training as part of the district’s commitment to make sure that all adults and students in the district understand the need for respecting the boundaries of others at all times.

June, 2009:

POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM

Educational Resource Associates is currently providing the Positive Parenting Program for the Orleans County Juvenile Adjustment Services Committee, a collaborative effort of the county’s Departments of Probation, Social Services, and Mental Health. The “Triple-P” program is an internationally recognized, data based, series of workshops designed for parents of at-risk youth. The 8 week program is designed to enhance parental skills and confidence, and includes both classroom training, and individualized coaching. Susan Wood Tillman, MSW, LMHT, is the certified ERA Associate for this program.

June, 2009:

WORKPLACE VIOLENCE WORKSHOPS

Upstate Niagara, Inc., The producers of Upstate Milk Products, has asked ERA to conduct workshops on Workplace Violence for all employees and managers on a company-wide basis. This training will be conducted in the fall as part of a grant received from the New York State Occupational Safety and Health Hazard Abatement Board. ERA has been the EAP provider for Upstate Niagara for over twenty years.

April, 2009:

ERA WELCOMES NEW ASSOCIATE

We are pleased to announce the addition of Sueann Brinkman, MSW as an Associate of ERA. Ms. Brinkman has several years of professional experience working with families dealing with problems associated with aging parents and other relatives. She is available to respond to your employees who have questions about navigating the Eldercare system. She can be reached simply by calling the 800 number or by accessing the “contact us” link on the ERA website.

April 2009:

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce that the Child Care Council of Monroe County has enrolled in our Employee Assistance Program. Our counselors will be providing service to all Child Care Council sites, including Livingston and Wayne Counties, as well as Monroe.

ERA Associates will continue to be called on to provide workshops on a variety of educational and family issues through the Child Care Council relationship with Kodak, Bausch & Lomb and other corporate clients.

February, 2009:

As many of you know, we have been providing EAP services for the Bank of Castile for several years. We are pleased to announce that, as of February 1st, we will be expanding our services for all of the Tompkins Financial Corporation subsidiaries throughout New York State, including branches in Tompkins County, Cortland County, Dutchess County, Putnam County and Westchester County, as well as AM&M Financial Services, Tompkins Insurance Agencies, Tompkins Trust Company, and Mahopac State Bank.
