NEW ERA CLIENT - CITY OF WHITE PLAINS

ERA welcomes the City of White Plains to its roster of clients. ERA personnel will initially be providing workshops on Harassment and on Violence in the Workplace for city personnel. Additionally ERA will provide Train the Trainer sessions to allow supervisors to share information on these topics with their staffs. Additional coaching support will be available for all supervisory staff throughout the year.

NEW ERA CLIENT - WYOMING COUNTY

We are excited to announce that Wyoming County has joined the ERA roster of clients. Employees of Wyoming County will have access to the complete menu of ERA services including: coaching, training and mediation. Counseling for employees and their family members will be provided by ERA affiliates in Wyoming, Livingston, Genesee and Erie counties.

We are pleased to announce that the GLOW YMCA has joined our roster of clients. NEW ERA CLIENT - DARIEN LAKE THEME PARK

ERA welcomes Darien Lake Theme Park to our roster of EAP clients. Their 2000 full time and seasonal employees will utilize our training, coaching and mediation services, and employees, family members and guests will have access to our crisis response team and our network of professional counselors located in twenty-five counties in New York State.

NEW ERA ASSOCIATE BETH O'CONNELL

We are pleased to announce that Beth O’Connell has joined the network of ERA Associates. Beth is a certified School Counselor who has previously worked at the Midlakes and the Marcus Whitman School Districts. She will be joining our team of Counselors and Social Workers currently providing service to children and families in the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District.

PART TIME SOCIAL WORKER NEEDED


As many of you know, ERA contracts to provide Social Worker services to many organizations dealing with children and families throughout western New York...We currently provide 2.0 FTE positions at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central Schools. We are able to utilize the services of four Master-level individuals to fill these positions in order to maximize the expertise being offered to the district. We are in need of an individual to work with middle and high school “at-risk” students two days a week.. A working knowledge of adolescent alcohol and drug use is helpful. The ERA model relies on having quality people already in our network recommend people of quality to us. If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who is, please let me know.

EXPANSION OF EAP CASE MANAGEMENT


Many people have noted the growth of Educational Resource Associates’ EAP clients in the past several months. To ensure that we continue to provide service to companies, employees and family members in a timely way, we have expanded our Case Management staff. ERA is committed that any individual who calls for assistance will have their initial conversation with a master level therapist, who can screen for the nature and the severity of a problem, before assigning a case to an ERA Associate for personal follow up. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that Corina Garbacz, LCSW-R, will be working with Charmaine Fanara to provide case management service. .Corina earned her MSW at SUNY Stony Brook, and has almost ten years of professional experience working with children and families at Erie 1 BOCES, and Gateway-Longview Day Treatment Program. NEW ERA CONTRACT - VILLAGE OF PENN YAN


We are pleased to announce that the Village of Penn Yan in Yates
County has enrolled in ERA’s Employee Assistance Program. All village
employees will be participating in our training on Violence in the
Workplace in the coming months.

ASSET BUILDER AWARD


We are proud to announce that Charlie Roemer, ERA Case Manager for our Family Assistance Program for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District, has just received the Asset Builder Award given annually by the Monroe County Youth Bureau. Charlie was nominated for this award by staff members at HFL for his efforts in providing strength-based support to youth and families in the district that might otherwise have fallen through the cracks. He has enjoyed particular success with those individuals who have come to the attention of county and community agencies. Charlie has been associated with ERA for the past fifteen years.

NEW ERA CONTRACT - ERIE COUNTY


We are pleased to announce that Snyder Industries of Buffalo has joined the roster of ERA clients. Snyder Industry employees will be eligible for EAP services from our network of counselors in Erie and Niagara counties. ERA will also be providing supervisory training and coaching as part of the annual contract.

NEW ERA ASSOCIATE - ANNE AMIDON


We are pleased to announce that Anne Amidon is the newest ERA Associate. Anne is a Licensed Social Worker who has recently retired from the LeRoy Central School district after a twenty-six year career. She brings a wealth of knowledge concerning children and families and will be available to work with ERA clients throughout the Genesee Region from our Batavia office.

April, 2010:

NEW EAP CASE MANAGER

Charmaine Fanara, LCSW, will now be serving as our EAP Case Manager. Charmaine has been clinical coordinator for Genesee Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, and has previously served as EAP Case Manager for Child and Family Services of Buffalo, and Health Management Systems of America. She has also served as EAP coordinator with DuPont Corporation in Buffalo.

December, 2009:

NEW EAP CONTRACT - GENESEE COUNTY

We are pleased to announce that ERA has been selected by the legislature of Genesee County to provide EAP counseling and training services for the 750 county employees, beginning January 1, 2010. Most of this service will be provided from our Batavia office, although, for confidentiality reasons, we expect that some county employees might choose to visit one of our counselors in Orleans, Erie, Wyoming, Livingston, or Monroe County.

July, 2009:

HARASSMENT TRAINING

Educational Resource Associates has once again been invited by the Rockville Centre School District, in Nassau County on Long Island to provide workshops on harassment training to faculty and staff. This is the sixth year ERA has provided this training as part of the district’s commitment to make sure that all adults and students in the district understand the need for respecting the boundaries of others at all times.

June, 2009:

POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM

Educational Resource Associates is currently providing the Positive Parenting Program for the Orleans County Juvenile Adjustment Services Committee, a collaborative effort of the county’s Departments of Probation, Social Services, and Mental Health. The “Triple-P” program is an internationally recognized, data based, series of workshops designed for parents of at-risk youth. The 8 week program is designed to enhance parental skills and confidence, and includes both classroom training, and individualized coaching. Susan Wood Tillman, MSW, LMHT, is the certified ERA Associate for this program.

June, 2009:

WORKPLACE VIOLENCE WORKSHOPS

Upstate Niagara, Inc., The producers of Upstate Milk Products, has asked ERA to conduct workshops on Workplace Violence for all employees and managers on a company-wide basis. This training will be conducted in the fall as part of a grant received from the New York State Occupational Safety and Health Hazard Abatement Board. ERA has been the EAP provider for Upstate Niagara for over twenty years.

April, 2009:

ERA WELCOMES NEW ASSOCIATE

We are pleased to announce the addition of Sueann Brinkman, MSW as an Associate of ERA. Ms. Brinkman has several years of professional experience working with families dealing with problems associated with aging parents and other relatives. She is available to respond to your employees who have questions about navigating the Eldercare system. April 2009:

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce that the Child Care Council of Monroe County has enrolled in our Employee Assistance Program. Our counselors will be providing service to all Child Care Council sites, including Livingston and Wayne Counties, as well as Monroe.

ERA Associates will continue to be called on to provide workshops on a variety of educational and family issues through the Child Care Council relationship with Kodak, Bausch & Lomb and other corporate clients.

February, 2009:

As many of you know, we have been providing EAP services for the Bank of Castile for several years. We are pleased to announce that, as of February 1st, we will be expanding our services for all of the Tompkins Financial Corporation subsidiaries throughout New York State, including branches in Tompkins County, Cortland County, Dutchess County, Putnam County and Westchester County, as well as AM&M Financial Services, Tompkins Insurance Agencies, Tompkins Trust Company, and Mahopac State Bank.
